Laurel Highland Trail – Gate to 8 – Training Information

The Gate to 8 is a training run for the Laurel Highland ultra. The first 8 miles are hard, brutal with steep hills. Training for the first 8 miles help you to be used of steep hills. The elevation is more than 1500 feet. Be careful, some sections might be technical with rocks on the trail. If you are going with friends or family, this is possible to rent bikes and ride around. The Great Allegheny Passage (GAP) also pass by Ohiopyle so that this is possible to transform this training session into a fun event for everyone. As for food, there are plenty options around (with a fantastic bakery as well!)
